This is the way sir, this is the way.

Another side note, not a fan of putting my choices of gifts online either.

That’s been required with my family members in the past as well.
Craziness.

I’m to the point I’d be much happier with no gift at all and just time with family.

My rule, if I don’t know them well enough to buy something they’d like, I just don’t

I think this is the first year that all extended family members on both sides have finally agreed to the pact that we only buy for the kids, not each other

It's a glorious feeling!

This is the 3rd year of no gifts with my family, and it is amazing. I love it so much.

Even the godchildren are switching to getting cash this year. They get far more from their grandparents, aunts/uncles, parents, and Santa than we ever did. There's nothing left for us.

Plus, all we ever did was ask the parents what to get them because we don't have a good concept of kid ages and what is popular, so it was already impersonal to begin with. Money it is!

Maybe cash in 2025 is a fun novelty anyway

I don't love giving Christmas gifts to anyone but my son. Everyone else is an adult and has what they want and need. Same in return, I really don't have anything on my list.

I do enjoy experiences gifts for this reason.
