94 years old. Dying of natural causes surrounded by my friend and family comforting me ok the way out.

Lost my WWII vet paw paw a few years ago. He practically raised me. It still tears me up to talk about it. Hang in there bud.

You can expect grief but also take comfort in the fact he lived a very long and full life. It’s just the natural order of things that you are forced to accept as you grow older and experience the loss of loved ones.

My dad, WW2 Korea and nam vet died last year at 94. Had surgery, was reco wrong then passed in his sleep. I know now that he was ready to go.

Prayers. My grandfather was a WW2 vet as well. They are truly America's Greatest Generation.

My grandmother lived on her own until she was 98. Then she just took a turn and a few months later we had her funeral. She would've gone sooner but some daughters couldn't come to terms with her demise and used unwanted continuing life methods.
Being an "ok" 94 and then taking a turn all the sudden is wayyy better than being bad off at 84 and hanging around for 10 years.
