Might not need to do it quite yet. A female dog's urethra is twice as wide as a male's so it's less of an obstruction. You might be able to manage the pain (and slow the growth of the tumor).

Sorry for your loss. I had to put down my 3-year-old chocolate lab in November (due to pythium) and my wife and I still cry about it. She was our baby.

Sounds like you gave her a long, happy, full life, and I'm sure she was grateful and loved you for it.

So sorry for your pain. My 18-year-old Rat Terrier, Jacky, passed on two weeks ago and my heart still aches. If people were more like dogs, the world would be a much better place.

We put down our 14yr old BC a few of years ago. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. The connection between humans and their BCs is extraordinary. I feel your pain and it's gonna suck for long time.

We ended up rescuing a 9 mo. old BC from a kill shelter a couple of years later. Now Cal is almost 3 and he's already an awesome friend.

Is it just cal? My border collie was Calvin.

I named him after a jockey

He was the best dog I will ever have. Also a rescue

We put my gf’s 16 year old Italian greyhound down on Sunday. Not a good experience at all. I’m sorry you have to go through this heartbreak
