IF you don't think a full tattooed up person has not changed their life, you are just wrong. For every person like yourself that thinks its either cool or looks good, there are 10,000 in society who thinks its trashy or fricked up. So for every interview you do for anything the rest of your life, it has changed the impression of you.

Like it or not, most of society thinks its not good.

Buncha Brads and Chads around here afraid of some good looking ink. Tattoos are awesome and becoming way more mainstream. I work in an office and most people have multiple tattoos.

Such fancy talk.

Amazing journalism, I would have assumed an interview with the scientist, or student athlete, or whomever conducted the study, to explain their findings would be the way to go. However, interviewing someone with more in-depth scientific knowledge, such as a tattoo artist, shows amazing journalistic creativity.

I think it's more accepted among younger people in today's society than previous generations. We also tend to jump to the conclusion that everyone with tattoos is poor and out of work. Which isn't entirely the truth.

Also, I tend to live by the rule that your opinion of me is none of my business. The best I can is present myself in a decent light.

What a load of bullshite

1) The body can only take so much punishment. It gives up at times. Otherwise antibiotics wouldn't be a thing

2) All these people that live to be 100+years old have spectacular immune systems. Mostly women, meaning fewer scrapes and abrasions over a lifetime. And zero tats

So what exactly is the "benefit" of getting a tattoo? How does it help your life? I can think of a million ways it if trashy and just plain stupid but I can't think of a single benefit. Help me out.

Here comes all the typical douchebags saying how trashy tattoos are. Even though most of them are fat and trashy themselves, somehow they are qualified to judge that all tattoos are trashy.

That's totally up to the individual. I don't know too many people who get tattoos for the same specific reasons (Outside of a group of friends who get one together).

And here is the issue with something as dramatic as a full body tattoo.. No matter what you think or how much attitude you have, its not going to change everyone else. You say you don't give a frick what everyone else thinks but tell that to the guy who is giving you a loan or your Childs teacher at school the very first time you meet them. Or a place of business where you are applying for a job.

It matters no matter what you think. Should it be that way? Probably not but for most people, someone who would cover their body in ink appears as a person with some personal issues.
