They want to do their dastardly deeds with impunity. Scumbags.

Maybe they should do the right thing instead...

They make plenty in backroom deals and insider trading tips. Obama is one of the best examples of this. If you think he made his fortune off of book deals, I have some beachfront property to sell you.
I thought he made his post presidency millions by starting innovative companies providing much needed products and thousands of good paying jobs to Americans.
Jk. Of course it's all because he is an ivy league trained drifter. You don't expect him to actually work for a living.

Real world example. We have a friend who spent last weekend in the LSUHSC Neuro ICU with a brain bleed and partial paralysis of her right arm. MRI found a spot on her brain. On Monday they sent her home with the paralysis not fully resolved and a referral for a neurology consult.
I'm no insurance exec, but it seems to me if you're sick enough to be In ICU and still experiencing symptoms, you're too sick to be discharged.

I get that people are frustrated with wealth disparity, but as we've discussed here already, this seems like a pretty big step into a timeline that's darker than we might desire.
You think?

I find it interesting that it is perfectly acceptable both here and at reddit to encourage and praise executing insurance execs but if you even hint at executing the politicians who make the rules that insurance companies have to follow then you are permabanned.

This goes out the window when you are part of a regulated industry. If it were capitalism then someone could start a competitor and offer lower prices. Thats almost impossible in reality.
Ding ding ding!

You can acknowledge that this is a bad thing on an intellectual level while also acknowledging that what goes around comes around. It's not good for society when a Mafia don gets whacked on the street but few people are going to invest a lot of emotional capital over it.

Yes, but insurance companies are not a public service. They are part of capitalism just like any other business. They have zero incentive to play by different rules even if it would be more ethical and moral to do so.
This is irrelevant when viewed through the lense of a person/company accepting payment for a product or service, and then choosing not to provide that product or service. Theft is theft whether it’s regulated or not.
