I think it’s BS for the most part. Very few people have an actual sensitivity to it and if a normal person ingests a whole lot of it, they may have mild issues like bloody diarrhea.

Any reaction will NOT be an allergy but a reaction to the sodium just as some would react to too much table salt.

MSG is the sodium salt of glutamic acid which is a naturally occurring amino acid. It is found naturally in tomatoes, grapes, cheese, mushrooms and other foods.
