doesn't it rain there almost every day?yeah, that kinda sucks if you like the outdoors
No. Chicago has about the same annual precipitation as Seattle. The thing about western Washington is that there is a ton of overcast skies and mist for much of the year. During summer it's not uncommon to go 100 days straight without rain and those 80 degree highs are pretty nice. Eastern WA has areas that look like AZ and it hardly ever rains.

Dumb list.
It's like comparing Sweden's health care system to that of the U.S. Population demographics play the largest role, not policy. We have an obese, uneducated, and impoverished population. None of the states listed at the top have had to overcome adversity to get to the top. They've just always been there.

Careful there. You're using the same rhetoric used when people play the race card.
And to play devil's advocate, I'll just give a similar response that's given here when, say, someone like Gravy plays the race card: It's been hundreds of years, maybe if you stopped being selfish and lazy and got your shite together you'd improve as a people. You've got no one to blame but yourselves at this point, but yeah, go ahead and blame those doing the right thing for your shortcomings.

Whatever you say, man. I'm just saying I don't think it's a fair comparison and that Southern states aren't doing as poorly as statistics show. If you took the leadership in Massachusettes and put them in charge in Louisiana, I'd bet they'd be getting similar results. It's just going to take time.
Those high ranked states don't have better obesity rates, unemployment rates, teen pregnancy rates, crime rates, murder rates etc bc of policy. Otherwise, we could just emulate them and flip the script.
Sure. There is a LOT Louisiana can do better. But those side-by-side comparisons don't tell the whole story.

I honesty have no idea what you're trying to say here.
No, I don't think policy is the driving force behind all of those rates you named, but states on the low end of this list do on average have higher rates of all of those things than those that are on the higher end.
But if it makes you feel better that the Massachusetts legislature couldn't do better for LA than the Louisiana legislature (and I'm certainly not saying they could), then more power to you.

The best ranking LA had was in Infrastructure. And anyone who has driven 10 miles in LA knows the infrastructure is awful.

We all know why Louisiana and the south ranks so poorly in these if we are being honest.
And I have been all over, BUT Louisiana is home. So I'm good with whatever stupid rankings may say.
I'll just keep it real with my peeps down south :)

This is one racist survey as the white people states dominated the rankings.
