STM will, unfortunately, meet the same fate as Redemptorist and St Louis.

This guy just sent out an email and phone message to all parents for St Thomas More Students. Started off and ended each referring to himself as Mr. Moscona. I find it very impersonal when you are talking to people that are the same age or older and the majority are very successful in life.
He already rubs me the wrong way with the nonstop wearing of bow ties.

I refer to everyone as Mr and Mrs regardless of age. Seems the proper way to address someone or oneself in a setting such as that.

Yeah instead he should have been more like Rod Belding. Just be a friend to all the parents and kids.

Have a downvote, I could agree for abusing the messaging system causing me to drop an important work call. But save up your angst for the voucher kids soon to be raping and pillaging the place. If he keeps them out another year he gets my support(and my money)! the second he announces them attending he loses alot of money; all the $$$ pulling out at once gonna hurt.

Do you not think it's a little strange to refer to yourself as "Mr." when speaking with other adults?

In an informal conversation? Sure

When acting in a capacity as principal to the parents of students? No, not at all.

We're both adults in this scenario; peers. I don't need you to refer to yourself as "Mr.", just tell me your name and I'll know who you are when you are leaving a message.

Just because you're both adults doesn't mean you are peers. And he is acting in his capacity as principal. Frankly, I'd be surprised if any principal referred to themselves as anything other than Mr./Mrs. when acting as principal.

Have before, depends on the setting.

If you call someone Mr XXX or Mrs XXX then I don't understand with them replying using that title.

Teachers as well, would be quite strange to hear.

Wait till he sends the “I’m going to need you to empty your wallet for the sake of the school and the kids” message. You’re really going to like that one.

He’s a good guy and means well. But these schools brought him in the get the money flowing. He was successful doing it at Mercy, and now the diocese wants to fatten the STM pocketbook.

We had John Bennett as the principal at our children's school for years and never once heard him refer to his self as "Mr John Bennett".
Matter of fact, I can still hear him "Good evening parents, this is John Bennett..."
That man was top notch!! Miss him and know the kids miss him too.

That’s weird. I wouldn’t look at the principal of my kid’s school as my superior. Maybe you think less highly of yourself though
