Man, that's terrible news. I drive past an intersection everyday where a young man was hit by a careless driver. I didn't know him, but I am always reminded how a split second of poor judgment by someone else cost him his life. Really sad for all families and friends involved.

I wonder what the differences could be in these two wrecks. This was posted the other day. The driver was supposedly connected that's why he was never named.

Damn. Hate that for him and his family. It's scary how often on my ride to or from work I look over and see drivers totally engrossed in their damn phones. But I'll still ride my Harely to work once I'm cleared to do so again by my cardiologist.

Oddly enough I know both parties involved through family members. Very sad day for all involved.

I ride my bike to work quite often, it's not too far but that doesn't matter. When I'm on the road I stay to the right of my lane to give the texters a lane and a half to get their shite together. The bumps in the middle of the road are one of the best things DOT has done in a long time. It makes people realize they are crossing over

Me too. Happened on the curvy part just past Thunderbird Beach Road going towards Lockhart.

Always hated that stretch. Stupid, inconsiderate assholes are always veering into the other lane like they're entitled to two lanes when taking the curve.

I'm amazed that people get on those things and ride on major highways and interstates and think they're safe.

In school a friend of ours snuck out and her boyfriend wrecked in that curb and she was killed. What a tragedy. Now there is a neighborhood built there (where TB beach used to be) making that curb more dangerous

no there's not. He's calling HWY. 1019 Thunderbird beach road. The accident happened in the curve on Magnolia Bridge road right past where 1019 intersects.

The area you are referencing is on Hwy 1019. That curve is very dangerous as well. I've seen many wrecks there. The fatal accident that occurred earlier this week was on the curvy part of Magnolia Bridge Rd. right past 1019 as you are headed toward Lockhart and Hwy. 16.
