Wasn't one of the arguments made against allowing gays to "come out in the open" or do things like serve as Boy Scout leaders is they'd start molesting kids? Gay marriage supporters brushed those arguments aside as being silly. Odd that they'd now take up that same argument.

That's what you don't understand. Once you remove the foundation of marriage being only one man and one woman, then short of inability to consent (like a child), there really is no legal basis left to limit marriage in any way.

If two men or two women can now legally get married, then how can that be limited to only those who are not related? The cornerstone of legalizing gay marriage was the equal protection clause. If a pair of unrelated women can get married, then by the logic used to legalize gay marriage, the equal protection clause means two related women must be afforded the same right. And since those two women have that right, and we can no longer put any restriction on marriage based on the sex of those wishing to marry, then that means as things stand today, there is no legal foot to stand on to prohibit consenting adults to marry whomever they want irregardless of sex or even familial ties. All it will take is for some couple to come forward and make the first court challenge.

I know supporters of gay marriage refuse to admit it. But if they're being honest with themselves they know very well that when gay marriage became legal, Pandora's Box indeed was opened. All that's to do now is sit back and wait to see what all flies out.
