Mostly dead palm tree question

So many palms in south LA are nearly dead from the bout of global warming we had this winter. Mine has a few green shoots coming out the top so looks like it will survive.
All other fronds are dead, I assume it wont hurt the tree to cut them all off? My tree will basically just be a trunk at that point.
Just trying to tell my groundskeeper how much to cut.

I’m looking at the same. Will cut off all the fronds that are hanging down.

It's actually best to cut the dead ones back to the stalk. Do it to sago palms as well.

One of the many uses of a sawzall. I'm not a tool guy, but I'm continually amazed at how useful it's been to me.

It's what I had to do with the ones I have at work. I haven't seen any sprouts yet so I'm a bit worried about them.

Word. Mine is about as tall as me but very wide. Though the way my house is built up from the road, the front side of the palm is 15 feet off the ground while I can just walk up to the other sides.
It didn't turn all brown until a few weeks ago with the last cold snap. Here's hoping it is fine. I have to take a look, but I saw some green in there I thought.

I trim the dead fronds every spring. I have 3 between 30 and 50 feet tall. It’s a pita to trim the two tallest ones and they make a mess. I had been contemplating cutting them down. Mother Nature made the decision for me. They’ll be coming down in the near future.

I’ve got many asssorted tropicals that took a hard hit. I’m not sure yet which ones will survive and rebound.
A lemon bush is about all brown, but shoots have started near the base. Some shoots appear to be below the graft, so I’ll have to cut those. The lime bush next to it seems totally dead - no green shoots, but I’ll wait a few more weeks.
I cut my mature bougainvillea down to a knee high stump with 3-4 branch arms. It may take 2 seasons to really come back.

Did you trim them yourself or hire someone? I have 3 that are near 50' tall in my backyard so there is no way to get to them without going through a neighbor's yard. That sucks.
And no, I didn't plant them. They were there when I bought the house.
And yes, besides this fact, I prefer to live in a neighborhood...not in the country where I wouldn't have this problem.
