All the boomers in this thread, watch this video, YouTube - Rick Beato explains why boomers hate pop.
Rick explains how music today has changed and why most of you hate it.
His channel is awesome if you are a music fan.
TL:DW: Music today is much more precise with all the beat machines and the precision is off putting to the old heads.

Cringe. But thanks for your opinion, simp.

Beato also put out a video of a Spotify Top Ten and made the implicit point that the music was spectacularly homogenous and unimaginative.

Sounds like a 14 year old girls dream come true.

There is a name I haven’t heard in a minute. What an overrated producer

And? This does not automatically equal bad.
Music is still evolving and changing; it didn't stop in 1979 like most of you seem to think.

Pop music is for having fun and partying. It's not meant to be some deep and meaningful shite.
There was tons of shite music put out in the good old days. Noone listens to it anymore. You are anchored to it because it is what you grew up on.

Is there any subject where you don't have brain dead takes? lmao.

Rap music is my generation, so I agree, there was tons of “shite” music in the old days.
To limit pop’s potential to “partying” shows your hand, and I don’t think we’ll ever find common ground given your low expectations.

I'm not the person defending NBA Youngboy as good music, Nancy

What do you expect out of pop music? For me, pop is all about a great instrumental, bass line, and hook.

Pop is a big field. There is a monumental talent difference between Panic at the Disco and the idiot rap horseshite on this list.

There is almost no variety of music in that list. Look at the Billboard charts from 35-45 years ago. You had a much richer cross-section of music styles. Now it's just monotone chanting of pedestrian verse over repetitive mechanized beats. This is not the music of a healthy culture, imo, and certainly not the soundtrack of an intelligent one.

It's mainly teenage girls. Most men outgrow that stuff by 16.
Teenage girls have always decided what music is popular, which is why it's aimed at low level thinkers.

Women driving pop music is not some new development dude.
More big brained takes from Roger. lmao.

You repeated the exact same thing that he said, but everyone in this thread who doesn’t agree with you is retarded or a moron. Go make some beats while pounding sand, zoomer.

I can't help but think of the meme that's been flying around facebook.
Last year we were offended by "Baby it's Cold Outside." and tried to get it banned.
but this year,
We made Cardi B's WAP number one.
