60% of its users are 18-35 so it’s really not that crazy
Can you imagine taking to the streets to spend your free time protesting against NBA young boy? People hating on younger peoples music choices is far from something new

How much money is actually made off of these streams?
You have to have a helluva lot of streams to make money. A million streams nets you around 5k.

Spotify is just as much a social media platform as it is music

While it may be nothing new.. Lets take a look at NBA 's quality lyric writing. And remember,, Kids as young as 8 can stream this stuff... It's how our kids are growing up... Thinking gangbanging is a way of life. Keeping it real. Rock and Roll was never like that...
City kinda fricked up right now
I know pops
Murder after murder
Back to back
Know who run that motherfrickin' gang nigg@
Ain't none of my nigg@s crash
And that's something you don't too motherfrickin' top nigg@
Montana, I'ma stand on that
I got it on my mind, yeah
Whole lotta bullets flyin', yeah
All my nigg@s slangin' iron, yeah
On my mama I ain't lyin', yeah
These nigg@s be bitches, these bitches with 'em in disguise
They claimin' that they real but I can see it in they eyes
You know I'm out that gang and you know that I won't stop
Don't go against the grain, bitch we headed to the top
You bitches don't want war with us
You nigg@s don't want war with us
You bitches don't want war with us
I'm screamin' "Who want war with us?"
Seven murders in one week, bitch it's crucial and it's wicked
Body after body, ain't no help up in my city
Homicide, you gon' die if you stuntin' like you with it
Got 'em slippin', blowed his brains out, nobody said who did it
Now word around town, nigg@s say that I'ma get it
Some nigg@ told Cordasha they gon' put one in my fitted
Nigg@ all I know is murder, swear to God that I'm with it
And everything I talk up in my songs, you know I live it
We keep a gun on all of us, you know that I'ma spit it
They say that they want all of us, we right here in the city

NBA young boy
Can't even read his name without laughing.
Music has pretty much been in a race to the bottom for 200 years. I think we must be getting close to the finish line.

Taylor Swift is the most talented person and makes the best music on this list and it's not really close. Sad state of affairs.

I wonder how many of those have songs where if a little girl made a tweet years ago of her saying a word in them when she was excited to get her drivers license she wouldn’t be allowed to attend college at UT? I’d image it’s over 50%.

No wonder young Americans are so fricked up
Young Americans are fricked up because they've been indoctrinated with liberal bullshite since their first day of kindergarten. The nuclear family has been destroyed in this country by Daddy Government. Mothers aren't mothers and fathers aren't fathers anymore, Daddy Government bears responsibility for raising children now.

The Taylor Swift folk album she put it out this year was actually very good. She’s not a bad songwriter at all.

I can only identify 2 people on that list.
I am old.
I am old.

Honestly the cringiest lyrics I have ever read.

I feel like there's a correlation between the fall of rock and roll, the rise of hip hop, and the moral decline of America.
What a braindead take boomer.
the good ol' days weren't as good as you remember.
Music changes and evolves over time and the music you grew up on is ALWAYS better than the next generation that will cause the world to end.
Rinse and repeat.

there isn't a single person on that list who actually knows the first thing about musical instruments and good lyrics.
Another retarded boomer take.

It takes musical talent to craft the beats and harmonies. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it is not true.
These guys put out plenty of garbage music but to pretend like hip hop doesn't take talent and creativity just shows you are a moron.

Compare the lyrics of WAP to Hold your hand.
Two women finally decide to own their sexuality and rap about like the men have done for decades and the whole world loses their minds. lmao.
The track won't age well and I don't care for it but it was a good moment for music and culture for women to be open about their sexuality.

I’m pretty sure their producer does that. They just walk into the recording booth after taking a few drags on their blunts, spit the lyrics for a couple of hours until they have the takes they want, and then go back home to do some lines off their baby momma’s chest.

A lot of the guys like Juice and XXXtentacion came up on Sound Cloud making their own beats and shite.
The beat and harmonies drives hip hop and it takes talent and skill to craft them; to deny this is just being an old boomer.
You are the same type that was protesting rock and roll back in the day. lmao.
New does not automatically equal bad. You grew up on different stuff and your musical taste is anchored to that. Nothing wrong with that but the reeeing about how terrible rap music is fricking hilarious.
Final meme: I am of the opinion that young kids should not be listening to most rap, especially emo rap. The lyrics are dark and just not appropriate for young kids.

There is almost no variety of music in that list. Look at the Billboard charts from 35-45 years ago. You had a much richer cross-section of music styles. Now it's just monotone chanting of pedestrian verse over repetitive mechanized beats. This is not the music of a healthy culture, imo, and certainly not the soundtrack of an intelligent one.
