ECON 2010 at LSU, walked into class hungover AF and some professor introduced the "no such thing as a free lunch" thought process and for whatever reason it just stuck with me and I still factor it in when making most decisions. The whole opportunity cost and sunk costs concepts just made sense immediately.

What you got? Any level of school

LSU baseball camp in the 90s.

Boots Garland (I think?) would come out and just yell at everyone to pay attention and that America’s favorite past time is transfer of blame.

And my god was he right. It really is all someone else’s fault.

He also said your hands are your accelerator and I tell that to my kids today constantly.

Learning that there are many ways to skin a cat, but as long as at the end of the day we have skinned cats - does it really matter?
Translation - quit being such a hardass on other people to do things the way you prefer for them to do.

Had a coach tell me once that it's a good thing when you're get corrected, it means they're counting on you come game time and need you.

I find it applies to a lot and helps show the people that actually value you vs those who think of you as another warm body. If someone gives you constructive criticism it's because they care
