If someone knows the 70 or so 2 letter words in the scrabble dictionary, they will win handily and it won’t be fun for anyone else.

I would embarrass myself if I played Scrabble. I need spellcheck.

The moneyest word is QUIZ when it's Triple Word score. Because either the Q or the Z is going to be a Double Letter score regardless. That's how I like to get the party started and raise the roof.

certainly none of those words are actually allowed - would not be any fun with alphabet soup like that.

Haven't played in over 50 years - but none of that would have been accepted

Cheat Sheet North American Dictionary - Cross tables . com

Cheat Sheet British and other international dictionary - Cross tables . com

British dictionary has more words, like hairyback*.

*Luckily this word survived the great woke Scrabble lexicon purge during Covid (see Reuters.com story on the removal of slurs and offensive words), as a word that has a "non-offensive" definition along with its "slur" meaning.

1. Biological Meaning:

Gastrotrich: "Hairyback" can refer to a gastrotrich, which is a microscopic aquatic animal belonging to the phylum Gastrotricha.
These organisms are known for their bristly or hairy appearance due to the presence of cilia or spines on their backs.

2. Offensive Meaning (South African Slang):

Derogatory Term for Afrikaners: "Hairyback" is a derogatory and offensive slang term used in South Africa to refer to white Afrikaners.
Ethnic Slur: It is considered an ethnic slur and is highly offensive due to its association with racial prejudice and discrimination

My grandma used to play scrabble. That’s the only person I’ve ever seen play it.
