Charlie MED? I was in the BSB, so we ran that area of the FOB along with the Mayors Cell. It was an interesting year and my last year in the Army. I enjoyed that deployment but after 20 years on active duty, I was done. Easy deployment though, cant complain.

My first and only time in a bsb, couldnt believe what i missed out on lol. I was commo, 25U, and spent my career in infantry bn's with a hitch recruiting and instructing. The BSB was too easy!

Also spent a little time at fob airborne as well whenever I went on convoys. Spent the first half of my deployment on convoys going on highway one a lot

Ive been there, with the exception of cop charkh Airborne had it pretty rough while we were there. They had a Vbied that took a good part of the perimeter as well as a significant rocket attack.

It wasn't too bad when I was at airborne for most of my trips. I also got to fly to different cops and fobs with my brigade physical therapist. Some of those cops were terrible lol

North Cancun at end of bus stop(lucky stayed on bus and it turned around)
Puerto Morales, MX(lucky we had armored guards)
9th Ward Nola(lucky the card game going on in the middle of street was more important)
Bronx, NY(lucky it was 9 am)
West Lynch St., Jackson MS(lucky it was 9 am)
And tops by far..... Mound Bayou, MS (380 came out from under the seat and was placed on the dash)

Some of them were absolute shite in Iraq - can't imagine what the worst of the worst were like in Afghanistan. Always loved it when first sergeants would chew my guys' arses for not being proper uniform after ten days on a COP.
Nothing like the smell of burning poo.
