Not only the most Cajun names (in Avoyelles Parish) but also the geography of where they originated in France. You're all welcome, I bet many of you can find yours. Mine is in the North West corner in Normandie.

if anyone's familiar with Cajun history, and most on here don't appear to be, there a few German settler communities going waaaaay back that sort of became Cajuns by immersion, common names that people think are Cajun but really aren't are Trosclair, Scnhexnaidre, Toups, and a few others

I know a “Carmouche” from the Lafayette area. His accent is so strong that you have to listen closely to understand him.

Definitely - a lot of the German Coast (where present day Norco etc is) families changed their last names to French due to immersion into the culture @ the time.
