I try to not judge anyone, but I do disagree with
"Christian" label for Mormons.

There is some surface, common similarities, but Mormon teachings deny inherent Christian tenets.

(Not directed at you, in particular)

Our main debate was about works, and I really believe a lot of folks struggle with that concept.

I enjoy a respectful chat, and I remembered you as a cool poster, a explosives guy in military, IIRC.

They can be pretty insular in places where they're a majority. Non mormons have a hard time fitting in.

Now, if you're asking me if that gives them grace and God would allow them into Heaven, I would say "no", based on what Ive been taught.
Not flaming you but none of us are in a position to “know” God’s mind on who’s worthy of an eternal good reward.

Because of what Mormons are taught, if you took a poll of active LDS adherents and asked them “Are Mormons Christians?” you would have every single one of them answer in the affirmative.

They consider themselves Christian and they generally live at least as “moral” lives as average Protestants or Catholics do. I’m of the opinion that it’s God’s decision to make as to who gets a prize.

Trust me, as the child of a mother from a devout Mormon family and a father who's the son of a Southern Baptist minister, I've heard more than my share from both sides of this, and witnessed one full on food fight, when the two families tried to get together once.

Thanks, same here. Close enough on my MOS but I've been out of the military for years now. Enjoy your evening. It's off to work for me.

Wonder if any money was raised for the families of those murdered?

I don't even have to check to know they're being fully taken care of.

Agree, and I said that in an earlier post. (Re: God's decision, not mine)
