Most def too late. No insurance company is going to insure anyone right now anywhere near any rivers or watersheds.

My parents got it after the flood waters stopped 3 feet from the door in 2016.

So today I saw an article that stated the flooding in one midwestern state as of now is 4’ higher than 2011.
I saw dams busting and historical flooding in other states.
States further north (SD, ND, Wisconsin) had record snow to the point of digging out buildings with equipment.
As high as the river is from the delta to the gulf, I just don’t understand how all this moisture up there coming this way won’t push the already high river over what it is currently.

It's because it's still not a lot of water relative to the flow of the lower Mississippi. The Ohio and Tennessee provide the majority of the water. It'll keep the river high for a long time though.

It depends on what rivers are flooding. Smaller rivers flooding obviously will not input the same volume as the larger arteries.
