Just saw Jupiter and the Galilean moons this evening which was neat.

Jupiter has 53 named moons. Sixteen more moons have been sighted have been but are awaiting confirmation of discovery before they get official names. Combined, scientists now think Jupiter has 69 moons.

NASA's New Horizons spacecraft obtained this high-resolution enhanced color view of Pluto's moon Charon just before the closest approach on July 14, 2015.

Why doesn’t our moon have a cool name instead of just “the”?

I would love to see robotic landers on each of the four Galilean satellites, Triton, and a return to Titan. Go ahead and add one to Mercury and take another crack at Venus.

Space is fun. Deadly. Unforgiving. But fun.
