It is "just" an isotope of helium but has great promise in nuclear fusion. Very rare on Earth since it comes from the decay of tritium. Fin fact it is the only stable isotope with more protons than neutrons.

It is funny how recently parts of the internet have been pushing the idea China discovering helium-3 on the moon when the discussion of mining helium-3 from the moon has been around for more than 15 years.
