Smart man. As somebody who worked in the business (for KNOE's competition), you made a wise decision.

You might know my friend since she was in the Monroe market forever. She took a job at a Dallas station for a while and I think made it to Atlanta. I know she came back to Monroe but I'm not sure where she is producing now.

Her last name is Gilcrease.

I got a little experience producing segments in grad school and I decided to look at other job fields.

Sorry, don't know her. I don't know when she was working there, but I worked there from '01-'03, and I was doing sports. So, I didn't really know many of the news people from KNOE.

The 82 flood was bad and so was the 91 flood. I spent the summer of 1991 tearing down all the sandbag walls around Riverwood. I think we took down over 150k sandbags.

No, but I was just talking about this place today with Dale Murphy. It's called Legends now, and I went to a wedding reception at the hotel there a couple of weeks ago. I walked up to the bar to see a Kyle Kipps framed autographed jersey staring me in the face. I said, "so which one of you guys is related to Kyle?"

where the hell is that at?

on Louisville, close to 6th. Best bar(only pub) in Monroe. Very laid back crowd. Good times. They have great burgers and they're 2 for 1 on Tuesdays. Holla at me when you get there and I'll introduce you to all the bartenders.

only went there once on a night when they let people wear normal clothes. I can't stand country music..

I have been to the Honky Tonk at least 200 times and not one of them did they play country music. And I wore normal clothes every time.

Anybody remember the Loose Caboose when it was in West Monroe?

Hell yeah. That was actually the first place me and my friends hung out. That was my sophomore or junior year in high school. Had great times there. They used to do Rocky Horror Picture Show there.

There was a great little drive-in in West Monroe off North 7th (or Whites Ferry Road) called Dylan's. Makes (made?) a great po-boy, fries, and a shake!

still there, still great

Oh, and you just haven't done Monroe and the viscinity if you haven't pounded a bottle of Maddog 20/20 Banana Red out at the levys in Sterlington.

I pounded a few of those when I was 15, but never at the levee.

Me too. On opening day my step-dad did not allow this one dude to skip. My step-dad looks like a thug so the guy listened.
