This is just the tip of the iceberg compared to all the other stuff that has happened to this family recently. Netflix would turn down the story as being too unbelievable.

Not always but there's definitely a pattern. I do temp agency placing and used to get rejections from the business owners everytime a woman under the age of 45 interviews. One guy that owned an diesel engine shop straight up told me that two of the young women he's hired to do accounts payable work were caught misappropriating profits and giving money to their junkie boyfriends or spending it on vacations. He basically said to send women who "looked old and ready to retire" and he would pay them handsomely.
