How much money you want to bet the statues end up at Mitch Landrieu donor John Cummings' Whitney Plantation? Anybody?

this statue has been an issue for decades.
I'm calling bullshite on that, sorry. Maybe a personal issue to a select few. But certainly not to the wide scale degree it is today.

1984 is still shockingly relevant.
It's almost like some things are too dangerous to be remembered

General Lee was a progressive in his time for his views on slavery and blacks.
Pt Beauregard was so progressive he was seen as ludicrous as he believed blacks and whites should actually live and work together.
Ignorance is no way to go through life strong

Mitch said in his press conference that the city can begin to "heal" now. I didn't realize that statutes were able hurt so many peoples' feelings. Are these people adults? Democrats are such losers.

I don't think I can spend money in New Orleans anymore. They spent money to remove historic monument in the dead of the night but they won't fix their own infrastructure?

Honestly of all the monuments that was the one that had the most connection to New Orleans. I could understand playing with the placards, or adjusting the verbiage, but to take down the monument is a literal slap in the face to the 30+ people that died, including police officers.

Does it get tiring to be "that guy" in every thread? It says a lot about someone who spends all day online going against every narrative

Liberty Place had been there since 1891. Landrieu destroyed it in an attempt to win one election.

Again this should serve as a reminder that elections have consequences.
Get off your arse and vote next time.

That's true but in a different location. Originally it was on Canal Street.

But these are confederate statues. And ppl don't realize that their histrionics over them do nothing but affirm Mitch's view as to why they need to be taken down.
What a weird thing to melt over.
One thing I know is that anyone crying about a damn statue forever forfeits his/her right to make fun of a SJW.
Who was it that said "Those who do not remember history are doomed to repeat it.."
