The original Facebook post by his father has over 80k shares. And the original Advocate article from last Wednesday or so stated that he was believed to have the potential to harm himself.
Left his apartment on foot without his phone, wallet, and car keys, but may have had some cash.
Very interesting and sad case here. I'm a bit surprised that he hasn't been located at this point.

But his vehicle remained at the dorm. Perhaps he rode a bicycle to the bridge. Then parked the bike at base of bridge and climbed up. The bike would be stolen within a day.

Hopefully, any other people who post in this thread will try to be adults and show a little compassion and tact, as I imagine that Michael's parents and other family members are quite possibly reading. It has to be horrible to not know where your child is, and if he is ok.

So, IYO, should they have cancelled the game yesterday because some kid decided to run away?
It's a horrible situation, but all the evidence made public to this point, shows nothing more than this kid left on his own accord and didn't want to be found. I can't imagine what his parents are going through but nothing points to him being kidnapped or forced to leave his dorm.
