I think the fear of prison is something every guy thinks about. And there’s lots of myths and movies about prison life. One of the few times I feel good about myself is when I watch locked up. It’s a good schadenfreude kick.

Locked up abroad is a pretty good series I watch on discovery channel.

2 million. Record wiped clean.

I’d act up on day one to get solitary so I could get separated from the sodomites.

I wonder how many of you could stand a week in solitary much less a year.

Easier if you know for a fact that it is one year. But still.

Id go to county jail for a few thou.

Dad is the sheriff and he complains how easy they have it.

Seeing his days there would be funny.

We had a bomb threat at the school the other day and this trashy mom is going around town talking about suing everyone because the kid is getting charged with a class x felony (There is a lot more to the story, but trying to stay on topic)

Small county, everyone knows everyone.

It just doesn't work that way. I know people who have done time in Parish Jail and had to have surgery to repair their colon. I know several that have been in Angola, Hunt, Beaumont that never had any problems. The man and the addiction determines what happens. Mostly the addiction. Oh, it helps if you aren't white. Mexicans have a bad time in Louisiana prisons. Asians, although rare, have the worst.

Well my autism test said that I'm more suited for solitary.

I love solitary, but prison solitary is lights on 24/7, no shoes, no mattress, shower once a week, all your food is piled up on a plate or baked into bread. You're thirsty, drink out of the toilet. It's prison inside of prison.

through work i know over 100 people who have done time all over

small parish jails are easily the worst

state DOC varies but are light years better. Angola was basically a church and retirement home for years

club fed is where it's at. guys always tell me how much better it is. they love the one in beaumont

300K. I know people who have been to white collar prison, and it’s not that terrible. Mostly people who want to get better.

Real prison though? Tens of millions. I’d be rape material.

I'd do the farm again before I ever went back to OPP.
