Can we banish the phrase “feels like temperature”? If the thermometer says the temperature is 90 degrees, then that’s the “feels like temperature.” It’s a retarded concept designed to stoke panic among women and weak men.
Let's apply this theory to the winter and just ignore wind chill to avoid being called "weak".

I tell my kids today some of the coldest day/nights of my life were on the Florida panhandle working on the flightline.
No doubt. I was at Hurlburt Field and the wind coming straight off the gulf at night during the winter could be brutal.
I couldn't count how many times we heard new guys say "I'm from {random northern state}. I know how to handle the cold." Only to hear them mumble "wtf" in the middle of a solid cold night.

You just get used to it. Thats it. Acclimation over time.

Barksdale says “hi”.
Hard to imagine one of those 99 degree days with no wind after a rain shower and the sun comes back out. Humidity around 100 along with the temp.
I had it bad enough working in an unairconditioned tin building on a gravel lot. Working in the sun on that much pavement has to be a special kind hell.
