This isn’t a government issue. California simply has too many damn people living there - 30 million people. An exodus of 585,000 people won’t do shite to the cost of living. It’s a hot-spot for Gen Z kids to move to, a lot of whom have finance degrees, law degrees, MDs, etc. As much as I could shite on its political environment, the amount of talent the state has is over abundant, even when it’s losing people. Louisiana could keep all of their STEM graduates and still wouldn’t come close to a third of the economy California has

Didn't even need to see the pictures to know the demographic. Everything you love about trailer parks. They just need some midnight pickleball leagues. Probably just parking close to the library so they can finish their PhD.

While I agree with the whole go where you can afford argument, its not cheap to just get up and move.

No money, no moving.

California has about 40 million people. Japan has 125 million and is 7% smaller in land.

It’s 100% a government problem.

Some of these are professionals who work a real job and can't afford housing.

No. Japan has 100% of their 125 million who take pride in themselves, whereas California has maybe 30% of their population that do.

And to think that all those fema trailers were just abandoned in fields by our government.

Not saying we should give homeless homes but damn, no sense in wasting all those trailers.
