Eight days is too long. Get to an ER. They can give you a shot that will take care of it.

Then go see your MD. Get an Rx for a drug that you can take when one comes on.

Rizatriptan works for me.

Black cumin seed oil. I have been taking it the last few weeks and I have not had migraines at all. I first saw a thread about it here and bought a bottle to try. Tastes awful but works great.

COmpletely agree. Used to get them in middle/high school, didn't get any for about a decade, now for the past year I've gotten them for a year straight.

Migraines fricking suck.

My wife has cluster migraines for over Ten years. What would you like to know? We have tried everything.

Botox may work for you
Niacin worked for me (helps with post covid)
Tried every drug you have heard of and all the experimental shite. topamax worked kinda for a while. Loritab is only thing that helps with the extreme pain, acupuncture helped some.

These little tens like machines that you attach to head are only things i really like. of course they are 300 bucks not covered by insurance

1) are you getting enough direct sunlight on your skin and indirectly in your eyes? The human body needs sunlight

2) How is your diet? Cut out the sugar, the caffeine, and carbs for a few days. Focus on proteins and veggies for awhile

3) Are you getting a bare minimum of 30 mins of heavy activity? Sweating it out helps

I used to get bad headaches and migraines, then had someone tell me these 3 things. Changed my life.

As a side note, you need to also get to regular sleeping hours. Break away from a computer screen every hour for 10 minutes, and turn of an screen, an hour before bed.

Try all these things for a bit and see what happens. Because why the hell not

Any suggestions?
Psilocybin mushrooms.

LINK

I have a friend who had cluster headaches 2-4 times/year for 20 years. 3 sessions with psilocybin, and it's been 4 years since he last had them.

I’ve dealt with migraines for years and have tried every option. By far, the most effective treatment I’ve tried is Botox. A series of injections done every 3 months by a trained neurologist and is covered by insurance. Doesn’t completely eliminate migraines, but they are much less frequent and are much easier to control. Worth discussing with your neurologist.

Yea my man I’ve had migraines for a long time and eight days is not normal. Could be something else going on you need to get checked out.

I’m amazed at the little things that can have such a huge impact on people’s well being. UTI’s causing stroke like symptoms, incorrect glasses causing migraines, etc. I find the human body fascinating.

I hope you get relief and can find the cause to prevent these from continuously occurring.

As others mentioned, Verapamil may reduce severity of headaches but not eliminate them - at least in my case. I had cluster headaches for several years and finally found that Relpax (Eletriptan) would knock one out in 15-30 minutes. Used to be expensive and a lot of insurances didn’t cover but available as a generic now for about $4 a tablet.
Mine eventually went away but my second COVID shot started them again for some reason. But only lasted about a month then stopped again.

My GF had migraines. She started getting the botox injections and it pretty much nipped that shite in the bud.
