That seems like a pretty capable boat if its fully operational. I'm sure we know where they are and can have them sunk within an hour if we wanted to, but at least that's a real modern-ish diesel vs those things NK has.

It's more of a middle finger to China if we actually do go hot with it.

Well, it is a good thing Trump announced it to the world before doing it.

Exactly. Because he doesn't have a long track record of saying stupid things publicly and then having to walk it back.

The war on drugs was never about drugs. Since day one, it's about power and control.

Starting a war when the military is about to stop getting paid is an interesting strategy.

Lol. Jesus Christ. Some of you are hopelessly devoted to dumbass ideas. They weren’t recruited, there is nowhere for them to go. They fled to third world and developing countries first. They’re all full and poor as frick to begin with, so they don’t want anymore.

As of late 2024, approximately 7.9 million Venezuelans have migrated due to the ongoing crisis, with the vast majority (85%) residing in Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador, and Peru.

You are wasting your breath. I personally have worked with a lot of Venezuelans who fled to Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador, and Chile. All college educated 20 somethings who realized that protesting wasn't going to overthrow Maduro, and now because of their speaking out they are in danger of retribution from the government.

The irony is that the Venezuelans fleeing here, just like the Cubans, have experienced the failures of socialism so aren't going to vote for that here. Instead MAGA labels them all Tren de Aragua members (there are for sure some) and says we should deport them all.

I will never support regime change that we lead the efforts on, but can support encouraging more stable South American countries to take in more Venezuelans as part of any aid deals (looking at you Argentina).
