Good luck man. I would avoid chemo as well. It's a racket and should be malpractice. It is 97% unsuccessful in adult patients...especially with solid tumors. Radiation is palliative and may be helpful but once they start it there wont usually be any surgical options. I recommend going somewhere like MD Anderson and not your local oncologist.

My brother had throat cancer from smoking. He was 37, this was in 1997. He had his voice box removed. Has had other complicating health issues over the years, including kidney failure, but he' still with us almost 20 years later. Fight on.

Literally was just in the hematologist office today getting results for a swollen lymph node core biopsy I had last week done.
At the time the dr thought it was lymphoma as it was swollen for two months plus.
Came back normal/reactive and no evidence of lymphoma.
Don't assume it's cancer until they tell you it's cancer.
Good luck man.

I have an uncle that has battled throat cancer, the chemo was a struggle but he's been doing well with for the last ten years.

Yeah, it turned out to be just a growth related to surgery I had earlier in the year.
Sorry I didn't update this. I thought I did.
Thanks for everyone's kind words.
I'm very relieved.

You owe us big time for all the prayers and best wishes. I'll take the bottle of vicodin or whatever they gave you when they thought it might be cancer.
