That's where I stay pretty much every time I visit. My buddy and his wife live there, and actually just built a new house there. I've always enjoyed the area.

Except its shut down from about Napoleon to Canal for ADA construction.

I lived on the corner of Telemachus and canal for a couple of years. I loved it. Cool building as well.

From Jeff Davis to city park you will be fine. Make sure you are at least few streets off Tulane.

I would stay closer to canal. Street car is $1.25 or get all day jazz pass for $3.00. You can get dtown real easily. Can even bus it to Claiborne then street car rest of the way down Carrollton to get to oak st.
