At times I may pocket dial 911 accidentally and they always call back instantly. Actually happened over jazz fest this past wkend twice.

there is literally nothing that could happen with regard to crime in the city of new orleans that would make many of you happy because new orleans is mostly inhabited by black people.

In that case, is it really surprising that there is going to be a racial component? Of course, "racial component" =/= racism, which is a reality that is largely ignored in all of these discussions.

i can't argue that. there's a huge difference between racism and discrimination. discrimination is often justified and earned, where racism almost never is.
but at the same time i don't recall a thread about the white kid who shotgunned his mother to death in metairie last year and if there was one i doubt it was filled with 154869396 posts of "metairie is a shithole". maybe i just missed it.
