Why TF is there a law for this?

Because business and tax policy is effectively also a societal control mechanism in states like Michigan.

My grandkids are doing the lemonade stand thing this year, boys nonetheless.

People are extremely generous several have dropped $40 for two cups, more common than you would think. Nice gestures sure, they have several hundred dollars so far and they just started this racket over the past couple weekends.

However this old man knows they are soft and easy money isn't helping or building character. Said something to the parents about it, they basically said kick rocks, their kids are smart.

I'm a dinosaur in my 50's. Y'all have a great day. I'm going outside to look for clouds than need a piece of my mind.

Reading is hard.

But why permit just beverages? Why can't kids sell chocolate chip cookies? Or Rice Krispie treats?
