I would contribute, but when I think of old-time Metairie, I think of my Cowboys fan uncle watching NASCAR, my chain smoking aunt kissing me with her nasty Virginia Slims breath, my spoiled rotten cousins, and their yapping dachshunds. And the shitty Metairie Mardi Gras parades on Vets.

Putt putt wasn't by that interstate ramp, it was between Burger King and Don's Seafood hut on Vets b/w Transcontinental and Clearview. There is now an Oschner clinic where it used to be

We had a crew of us that would ride our bikes out there during the summer or weekends and would play. We were more than likely playing football or baseball @ Lafreniere otherwise.

There was a Saab/Porsche dealer that went out of business on Vets waaaaaaaay back when. After they closed they left a whole bunch of marketing material in there and that's when I fell in love with Porsche.
