Elmwood, EJ Wellness, or Premier?

Recommendation and reason why.

Elmwood has the most equipment, classes, etc.
They also have a great outdoor pool area with a bar, which used to ruin my workouts when I worked nearby and would go there.

I didn't realize they've closed. I did like that place though lol.

I use Elmwood (now called Ochsner Fitness Center). Good crowd and lots of pools and classes. If you workout after regular hours, the Heritage Plaza location is great. That is where I go most often.

Elmwood

fricking crowded with too many people hogging equipment while playing on their phones.

Before we built the gym in my office, I used to go to the Y. It wasn't bad. They had everything I needed, never got too crowded, and they didn't get pissy about heavy deadlifts.

The only issue I had there was the pack of Hispanic women who would hog both squat racks doing their 2.5 hour booty blast workout marathon.

But as long as I got to the gym before them I could avoid that.

EJ Wellness clientele is mostly elderly people. Ochsner/Elmwood is the nicest and biggest but I assume it still gets crowded on certain times of the day. And it’s not very convenient to get to unless you live nearby.
