I really thought that guy that beat the homeless man to death in the parking garage was you. Glad to see you’re still in the free-wurl

I’m pretty excited tbh
PLEAASSSSEEE Tell me you got the illuminated star, exhaust system, black 20-inch AMG spoked rims. and (black paint / red leather seats)

How you like your Cayenne baw?
Mine is a 2011 with 82,000 miles now. When I bought it had around 50k. It is without question the best vehicle I've ever bought - I have no idea why the resale is so bad on these, other than unfounded paranoia on maintenance. The only issue I've had is a water pump failure at 70k, a well-known weak point (Land Cruisers have the same problem). I've read Turbo models can have issues with the transfer case - because they're 500HP & AWD - but that could be message boards skewing the data.
With a good radar detector it's the best road trip vehicle at any price.

Wish I had sprung for the GTS or Turbo.
There are so many for sale and Porsche options are all a-la-carte so you really need to shop carefully to make sure you get one with all the features you want. Run the VIN on vindecoderz.com to see the build sheet.

Exhaust yes. Went with the AMG 5-spokes. No illuminated star. It seemed to cheapen the look of the car - just my opinion. Black interior with grey accents.
I like nice stuff but I appreciate a classic look. I feel like a lot of dudes are going with the black forged wheels so I’m probably in the minority. To each his own.

Just don’t do a big, smokey burnout in the middle of Times Square and hit a cop while fleeing. Evidentially LSD isn’t/wasn’t standard equipment on those cars.
They only let me drive my FXX-Ks at Corse Clienti.

Fair enough
I am definitely buying the black spokes

Illuminated star is so tacky.
Performance driving school in SC with BMW is a great time. Really treat you well and the instructors are current/former race car drivers and do a great job. They'll drift the cars with you in them around the entire track. Better than any roller coaster

I've done the BMW schools 2 times and Performance Center delivery 3 times. I did the Porsche delivery at Barber once and their school once. I haven't been since they built their own tracks like BMW in Atanta and LA. I general prefer driving schools that are on actual road courses BUT the skill building complexes tend to be better if you are a noob at the track.
I have done 4 different Skip Barber classes and recommend them IF you plan to track your car in the future.
My favorite is going to the Nurburgring which I do every 2-3 years for a couple of weeks. I take classes at RSRNurburg and after the class rent cars for lapping.
The BEST value is to do HPDEs (if you are willing to track your own car) that have instructors available. I haven't seen a lot of AMGs at track days so I don't know what they require to be hot lapping ready. Shouldn't be much, probably just brake pads and swapping coolant for water but some HPDEs let you run with coolant but I would not.

There is a Mercedes and Porche school in Birmingham at Barber Motorsports Park. I've never participated in either of them but I work out at the track the two weeks prior to the Indycar race every year and have watched both schools several times. It looks like it would be fun.
Reba McEntire's son, Shelby Blackstop, ended up getting a ride as a pro racer after attending a similar school (Bob Bondurant race school). He dropped out of college after getting a ride and worked his way up to Indy car.

Met the president of Nurburgring on Isla Mujeres last year. I have his card laying around here somewhere. He offered me a private tour and laps with a driver if I go. I really should take him up on that.
