Anyone observed an exception to this rule?

When my wife tries this (they all do at some point - some more than others) I eventually tell her that I listened and then realized I do not care.
She's generally a good egg and I don't have to deal with that BS often however.

It's like letting a caged animal out into an open field. The animal is going to run around and explore the space. A lot of dudes spend a lot of time with their wives listening to them yap about pointless shite and agreeing with them about everything. When they get out in the world, they enjoy being allowed to discuss their own thoughts and opinions and shite.
