According to this GQ article

quote:

Welcome to GQ's New Masculinity issue, an exploration of the ways that traditional notions of masculinity are being challenged, overturned, and evolved.

Hello, the men. My advice on modern masculinity would be to look at all those traits you believe are feminine and interrogate why you are so obsessed with being the opposite. Because this idea that to be a man you have to be the furthest away from being a woman that you possibly can is really weird.

Why is everyone so scared of not being masculine?

So here's a thought experiment: What if you, the men, looked to traditional feminine traits and tried incorporating them into your masculinity?

Does the OT agree?

I guess I can use GQ to wipe my arse when I’m out of TP

The day I take advice on how to be a man from a woman, especially one that looks like that, is the day I eat a ballet.

ETA, I meant to type bullet but it autocorrected. frick it, It will be the day I eat an entire ballet. Plies, pirouettes and all

I agree. I should be more irrational, prone to argue about trivial things and remember everything my wife ever did to piss me off and bring it up in an argument 15 years after-the-fact.

I do NOT agree. I like my men to be men. Having manners and being chivalrous is masculine. If I wanted to date someone who was feminine, I'd be a lesbian.

That's one way to get clicks. Is "trigger piece" the new way for publications to stay in business now?

The world was built on the backs of men grabbing opportunity by the horns and making it their bitch. Not women arguing about what color drapes we should have.

Not clicking that because frick GQ, I'm not giving them clicks and revenue, but is the author a woman or gay guy? Because that's the only way it makes any sense.
