So I am sure many of you remember this: Original "Fight"- watch first

Well it showed up in my FB memories so I decided to look up what ever happened to the kids at sentencing and you will love this: LINK

quote:

Four girls and four boys pleaded guilty to aggravated riot. They'll serve 40 hours of community service, must stay in school, follow curfew restrictions and write a letter of apology to the three people who were beaten.

If they follow those rules, all charges will be dropped from their records.

Most of the kids had clean records. In fact, one of them was the valedictorian of her eighth-grade class.

wait so they have to stay in school (which they should be doing anyways), serve 40 hours of community service ( 1 week over the summer), have a curfew ( like most kids already have, and write an apology letter? Then it all gets dropped? what a load of crap, they attacked an innocent person

Sounded like the ones they caught actually kicking and beating the dude are in a dentention facility for an undetermined length of time.

quote:

Two of the boys still have a long way to go. They're the ones seen throwing pumpkins on the Kroger employee's head and kicking him. The judge has ordered them to treatment with the Department of Child Services.

Stigger said, "It's somewhat similar to a detention facility, but it's in a different part of the state. They will be there for as long as it takes for them to be rehabilitated. They are the master of their fate."

Ya, what kind of message does that send to all of the other kids there? Plus you KNOW that their "community service" is going to result in a net loss to the community because they will need babysitters and won't do anything.

The real question is how did white people trigger these kids to do such a thing?

did you miss this part?
quote:

A ninth defendant, charged with possession of marijuana, a weapon, aggravated riot and three counts of assault, was taken away from his mother and put into DCS custody.

quote:

A tenth juvenile opted to have a trial where Judge Dan Michael found him guilty of aggravated assault.
Judge Michale ordered the teen be taken from his mother and placed in DCS custody.

They all were in on it but as far as the two you are referring to the reason they have to go to camp for a few days is because one had drugs and a weapon and the other was a fricking dumbass whose dumbass didn't take the plea deal after "an attorney for the teen argued throwing a pumpkin at someone's head was not aggravated assault!"

Did you miss the part where one of those had drugs which is why he wasn't offered the pleas and the other was because his dumbass TURNED DOWN the plea deal?

The smartest kids of some demographics look to be the worst of others.

As if this board needed more Thugs doing Thug Things to get it fired up.

(And for the record, the entire group should be locked up for 5 years minimum)

But seriously, this board loves to be angry at some shitty excuses for human beings as long as they have dark skin.

Where did you get that?

didn't take the plea deal
I assume the ones that could be identified kicking the man in head didn't get the same offer as the others. The offer for the others was probably fairly generous because they couldn't definitively show those eight actually striking the victims. Maybe not though.
