i thought gooney golf >>>>>>> putt putt.

but you could always go to FFP after putt putt.
and of course gooney golf closed in the mid 80's.

Shakees was the best Pizza joint ever!!!!!

I still think a Drive-in Movie place would be a hit today. Used to load up the ice chest with little Millers, pick up the date, get drunk and make out for hours!!!!!!!!

Has anybody else explored the catacombs of LSU? This guy that lived next door to me on State Street tried to get me to take a hit of LSD and explore the underground of the campus...this is the same guy that also wanted to climb the MS River Bridge...

P.S. He wasn't gay.

I am 36 and that hag still creeps me out. I brought my own son there a few years ago, and she was STILL there, passing out the tokens.

I think somebody said Mama Brava...it was something like that. Thanks for bringing that up. I remember my brother and his friends hanging out in that place. I remember wishing I was old enough to hang out there.

There was also place in Cortana that sold corn dogs. Those were the days.

No, it wasn't momma bravas. I remember drinking coke out of chilled pewter mugs. It had sort of an old Eurpope theme....anything?

Huey Long and one of his many lady friends were rumored to haunt that place...We used to go the State Capitol and gawk at the bullet holes where he was shot and look at the view of BR from the top. I used to think that was the coolest thing in the world. Now, my jaded arse works in downtown Chicago in a high rise double the size of the Capitol.
