you can't just pull your gun on people as a cop if they piss you off. that's insane.
See below

but it looks like he's (not needed but....) walking the girl down the sidewalk when she tries to pull away and that's when it went bad. Then the gun gets grabbed when 2-3 teenage boys circle around behind him and start approaching the hip he has his weapon on.
The dude was entirely over the top, but there's also the common sense of not running up behind a cop in a situation where he's trying to restrain someone and has 4 people in his face.
Like I said earlier, letting the kids split and the girl run her mouth would've been plenty reasonable. Officer dug his own hole, but there was enough stupid to go around in that video.
Absolutely agree.

Although many are upset about him drawing his gun, he didn't shoot it and it immediately dispersed the group. The actual use of force was his arrest of the girl. He used presence, verbal. Hands on, displayed lethal force. He wallowed the use of force continuum. He also de escalated immediately. I argue that he was text book correct.
Bottom line is don't resist the cops because you will most likely get your arse kicked.

. Should he be allowed to be a cop ?
As long as you don't mind having a functional retard for a cop then I guess it's a yes

No. Especially 4 girls
Well in fairness he pulled his gun on two guys who ran up on him.
What is the actual story on this? Because it's not black kids in a white pool. There is more to this story. Either a fight or a weapon or something. They were looking for a particular person from the sounds of the kids narration.
And yes Tackleberry should be fired. He doesn't have the sense or coordination to do his job. He couldn't even do a MACH takedown of a 100 pound teenage girl. And he should have used less than lethal methods like OC, tazer etc. to back the crowed up

Don't bring reason in to this !!!!!!

One article I read said that a fight broke out, and the cops were called in response to that. Apparently not ALL the black kids there were invited.

what exactly did he deescalate?
Posted on 6/7/15 at 3:01 pm to Navtiger1
The story was that an older white woman was verbally harassing the black kids at the pool, yelling at them to go back to "Section 8". That started a fight between the women and after the fight the cops were called

The story is there were kids in a neighborhood pool that weren't from the neighborhood so somebody called the cops.
The "narration" you are talking about is from when the kid filming picked up the cops flashlight that he dropped while doing a barrel roll.

Not in McKinney. Especially not Craig ranch.

Ok, now add "In" to the end of that and we have a winner

And this is why you just fricking walk away or ignore someone who is hurling insults.

Reasonable to NOT arrest someone for speaking. Really?

I think the boys were reacting to him body slamming the girl on the ground

Ok that sounds more reasonable. And if the fight involved uninvited black party goers it makes since why they were stopping the black kids looking for the suspects.
Again I think he went over the top in his actions and he had shite for technique.

That trashy woman probably didn't even live there.

He re holstered right after the three boys were very close to him, possibly grabbing at him.
That is exactly how police train. Situations change very rapidly from calm to chaotic and back. This all happens within seconds.
I can pretty much guarantee you that his union attorney wins this case easily.
Remember, nobody was hurt and the situation was calmed.

Your advice to police in tragic situations would be, dont try to put bad guys in jail and you will not get shot at?
What did this girl do to warrant this hero with the dangerous job attacking her? Oh she said something he did not like.
