I wasnt thinking about food or anything relative to that and out of no where i had a strange flavor memory pop into my head. I could almost taste it, and i was racking my brain of what that flavor connected too. Then it hit me, those McDonald's cookies from birthday parties back in the day. I remember them being lemony and buttery with just the right amount of cardboard.

This was of course way back when when McDonald's meant a cheap meal and family fun. Way before the ghetto dollar menu and any significant advances in mass media health conscious.

I remember losing a loose tooth on one of those slides, chasing a girl back in the day.

That’s funny that you mentioned this because this reminds me of another story I don’t care about.

Iirc, we used to get McDonald's cookies, carrots and milk in kindergarten in the 90s after 'quiet time'

Who needs to be fired from advertising for McDonald's today? Man, when I was a kid, all of those characters and the playground and a Happy Meal made me love McDonald's. Hamburgler and the cop, the pirate and parrot, Birdie, Grimus, the Fry Guys, and of course Ronald. I recall special days when they would dress in costume and show up at our local McDonald's and we would LOVE it.

And now? Dollar menu crap and 20-something aimless young adults on the commercials. Salads and yogurt?

More great demonstration of the pussification of America.

What was it about the birthday cakes at McDonald’s birthday parties. I remember as a kid loving the cake for some reason.
McDonald’s cookies, piece of cake and ice cream...with some orange soda. Heaven to an 80s kid at a McDonald’s party.

ETA: Pic of that glorious cake...

Had a lot of fun in Mayor McCheese. And that slide would fry an egg in the summer. Those cookies were delicious.

I never was a cookie man.

Fried apple pie all the way. If the skin on the roof of your mouth was still attached after the first bite, you were doing it wrong.
