slavery was basically back then an option for poor people to be taken care of. if you were poor and needed a roof over your head someone bought you and took care of you.

Yeah, I'm sure the Jews willingly went into slavery for the Egyptians.

What you just said is not true, nobody willingly goes into slavery.

ahh... but once the Emancipation Proclamation came out it became illegal... that's why the south said frick that shite and decided to secede... therefore, my premise still holds...

Ummmmm...the Emancipation Proclamation didn't come about until 2 years after secession. Also it didn't apply to slaves in the Union. Also it didn't really apply to the CSA since they had legally seceded, and Lincoln didn't have any true authority over them.

american slavery was really the worst of humanity

What? You obviously have NO perspective.

Slavery in the United States was a damn tea party compared to slavery in the Caribbean, South America and other places. Slaves were routinely worked to death in the latter. They held little value.

In the US slaves were chattel, and valuable since their import had been banned (if only they had done that sooner).
Slaves here were treated (and it varied across the spectrum) like working animals. Or a valuable tool.
It wasn't all Simon Legree.

It's impossible to say what slavery was worse but it most certainly was not the cotton plantations in the south, esp not after slaves became more expensive once they weren't importing any more. Roman slavery sounded particularly awful.

Poppycock. I can objectively state, with no doubt, as a fact that slavery in the Caribbean and South America was far far worse. Just look at the death numbers!
