Yeah. I mean Sid just told people if they're cleaning their homes to do it during daylight hours only and go to where you're staying for the night.

Yeah, who are you to tell someone who is still working their job during the day to when they can clean up their home? Screw him.

That quote is a little bit of a stretch there are times when a curfew is appropriate such as after Isaac and Gustauv.

You know that quote is about keeping the government's power to tax people, right?

Or after a police shooting. Or a robbery. Or a football game. Or a freeze. Or a rain. Or an election. Or a full moon. Or a sale at Wal Mart. Or a holiday. Or a Wednesday. Or a weekend. Or, well, any day!

dumb308 running his mouth has NO Clue what is really going on in the street. The Sheriff and his deputies have done great job and a lot of very hard work, many of them have flooded homes.

What Liberty exactly am I giving up? Not being out on the town after a biblical flood?
Just spent the afternoon feeding people who have been gutting their houses. Whole lives destroyed.

It was at 10. Not like it was even a dusk to dawn one.

Look, I don't need a curfew to protect me and mine but maybe it cuts down on the thugs and methheads roaming the neighborhoods. It keeps the rats in their holes knowing that the cops, and the decent citizens, will be on alert.

This isn't some martial law situation. This is a little bit of prudence after Armageddon.

Y'all act like this has been some major oppression for weeks.

They aren't going to hassle you if you are going to work.
Now if you are a sketchy POS casing houses in a flood area, maybe they give you the what for.

Or maybe a citizen blows your eyeballs out your arse because you are trying to steal their boat.

Just leave it up to the description of the police. Curfew at 10 unless you are a sketchy POS.

Sounds about right.

Tiger PAw Paw, I get It. Your son's a deputy and you love him. But thee fact that he's 85 pounds overweight and wets his bed is a little worrisome. Maybe he will lose the weight, find a wife or whatever and get transferred from the Parish Prison. Probably won't happen, but remain hopeful

And you are a good person for doing it, I will likely be gutting houses tomorrow afternoon but neither has any bearing on this.

This isn't prudence its politics of who can be more "in charge". The looting concern is not parish wide.

you really think they are gonna be stopping everyone on the interstate or someone in an unaffected area making a munchie run?

Look, I've seen first hand the jobs the EBRSO are doing right now. I have a lot of respect for them.

So yes, for right now, isn't hard to give them a little bit of discretion in the affected areas.

I doubt they are gonna bother with decent folks coming home from gutting a house or bringing tired kids back from somewhere.

Now some sketchy people slow rolling through a neighborhood with no power with a bed full of TVs?
Yeah, stop em Roscoe.
