Is she trying to rekindle some of William Jennings Jefferson's old contacts there?

Mitch's contrived public image is that he is from a blue collar family in Broadmoor. But in reality he's all uptown. Saw him at Martin's Wine Cellar last week.

The jokes about LaToya's trip practically write themselves.

Sadly the poor people in central city and the lower nine are the ultimate punchline, because they need help but resources are being diverted to LaToya's blatant avarice and vanity.

There is an agenda behind the scenes. Clearly she is going there to establish stronger relationship for the import and export industry and partnering with the country. Much like 400 years ago just not human trafficking.

Why wouldn't it be?

I don't think she is capable of it; but it does seem like something a mayor should be involved in to an extent.

I remember when Louisiana knew how to handle it's business. Someone named Latoya runs for office? You get your cops to plant a bale of cocaine in her trunk. What has become of you?

Actually it could very well be. Successful mayors attract businesses from all over the world.

But there was a heavy dose of sarcasm. I mean it kind of is a big deal. New Orleans was at the heart of the slave trade much of which occured through the ports of Ghana and it is 400 years.

You know that Ghana is an English-speaking country, right?

You are correct. That is the location where blacks sold other blacks into bondage. It is a very sad time in our world's history

NOLA has become a weak city infested with white liberal guilt and black crime.

What benefits the city by this trip? Or the Cuba trip?

Tell me how this benefits me or you.

Just tell me what are even the possibilities

I just read that BR's sister cities are Cairo, Egypt and Port au Prince Haiti. I've lived here for 40 years and never knew that. Latoya is tackling the difficult tasks. Screw cracking down on crime, paving roads or improving schools. We've got to focus on important shite like this

Probably a good thing to get her stupid arse out of the city where she can’t do any harm.
