Mattress return

Bought a new mattress from Home Furniture and decided to go with a Serta plush top with memory foam inside. We laid on it for probably 20-30 minutes in the store and thought it was perfect but woke up this morning feeling like an 80 year old with back pain. I'd like to return it for a firm top and the receipt says 48 hours exchange policy. Anyone have experience dealing with them and have any problems with an exchange?

This is where they get you, first they will try and talk you into keeping it for a week or so to break it in, then if you insist they will allow you to exchange it, hope you have a way to get it to them because no more free delivery, then once you get it there they will give you store credit for a new one, but.... any discounts or negotiations you got in the first one you won’t get on the second one, you will pay full sticker price, and they probably picked up your old mattress so you can’t use it anymore either

OP, you may be better off trying to do a return through Serta if the Home Furniture store tries to screw you. We got a Posturpedic mattress about 8 years ago and some shite (I don't know what it was but my wife does) started going wrong with our mattress. The store gave her the run around so she called the company. She mailed them a copy of the receipt and they sent us a brand new mattress and took the old one, no cost.

Within 48 hours of delivery which is what the receipt states.
