I've got news. You people are retarded if you think black shoes do not go with a navy blue suit. Or you have been listening to too many women. It is as classic as it comes.

or gold, or silver. Not brown or burgundy. You are right.

No, it's not. Sagging your pants has been done for awhile, but that doesn't make it "classic."
There are 3 things that will cause me to physically fire someone:
1. Black shoes with blue suits. It demonstrates that they don't know WTF they are doing.
2. If they EVER wear a dark colored shirt with a bright colored tie. The ONLY time it is acceptable to wear a darkish shirt under a jacket is with NO tie, collar open, and you are in Vegas with your buddies about to gamble away $1000's of dollars and have sex with prostitutes. Or if you engage in organized crime.
3. If I ever walk into one of my offices and see someone reading this site.

A lot of people do try to match navy leather or quite frequently, suede, with a navy suit.

Navy leather/suede with a navy suit? That's a bigger no-go than the black shoes. WTF is wrong with you people?
You know who gets to wear black shoes with their navy pants? Cops.

Every board room in America has navy suits, white shirts and black lace up shoes.
You have know fricking idea what you are talking about. Dumbass. Do some research or find someone to dress you.

Either you´re young and in IT, or posing.
Even were you to be of inherited money and managing multiple offices, your family would have taught you something.
You are a joke.

What field is this?

Look, I wouldn't (and haven't) worn black with a navy suit. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's completely unacceptable.

Wow. I've been dressing myself about 60 years and I never most of this stuff. You gotta die, get married or graduate to get me in a suit. I do have a nice pair of black cowboy boots and a nice pair of brown cowboy boots to wear with a suit. Usually wear whichever pair offends my wife the least at that moment.

I'm sure it's the circus or a strip club but I don't think he's old enough for that.

James Bond can wear whatever color shoes he wants, right or wrong. At least he's got a pocket square.
I'll clarify that it isn't the absolute end of the world to wear NICE black shoes with a navy suit (not any lighter blue), but brown or oxblood (not my favorite, but acceptable) is what SHOULD be worn. And not some light brown crap either. Nice, rich, dark brown.

CPA with, I think, 6 full-time employees, and he has some others come in during tax season. Been dressing like that as long as I can remember
Eta: He doesn't have any light blue suits. Office is strictly formal because clients come in all of the time

And I'll clarify that about four posts up you said you would "physically fire anyone who wore black shoes with a navy suit because they don't know wtf they are doing."
So your clarification is discounted by your stupidity. Because you prefer a brown shoe certainly doesn't make you an expert. So when that kid walks into Orange Julius and you physically fire him because of the color of his shoe just remember. He isn't the moron in the room.
Dumbass.
