They probably admitted to the cops that they were there for more than a massage. They can't arrest you just for being there.
Well that was stupid.

ee patrons were inside the spa when officers busted inside. Those patrons, who lawmen said were in various stages of undress at the time of the raid, are: Arthur Van Smith, 42; Sam Farlow, 66 and Randall Hadaway Jr., 33. All three men are charged with the misdemeanor crime of visiting an illegal house of prostitution.

Wasn't Center Point an average, blue-collar neighborhood back in the day?

Who gets a massage while fully clothed? Unless they admitted to getting the ending or were caught in the act, it should be easy to beat the charges.

Yeah, it was a popular place to be for a while. Slowly gone downhill as the neighborhood aged.

That's what I gathered. One of our offices is in beautiful, crime-free Tarrant.

Yep, I left for school in 2000 and never returned. Was a decent suburb while I was there but I know its pretty bad now. Its known for massage parlors and title loan places now.

It was actually more than average back in the day. In the 70's and 80's it was the place to be and live. Basically what Trussville is now, Center Point was back then.

And even if they beat the charges, the damage has already been done.
Do you have to register as a sex offender if you get busted for something like this?

Ah. Not too bad then. We looked at Trussville when we moved down here in 09, but decided on Vestavia instead. Mrs Cove would like to move to Hollywood/Homewood if she had her druthers. She enjoys restoring/remodeling houses. Some of those old places are bad arse.

You made the correct choice. Trussville is already on the downhill slide. It takes less than 3 minutes to get from Roebuck to the Pinnacle Shopping Center in Trussville. If I had to guess, Trussville will go the way of Center Point within the next 10 - 20 years.

Pretty nice areas as well. Too crowded for my taste though.

Hollywood renos have to be a bubble by now right? Before the recession people were buying them for $200k, putting $100k into them and flipping for $750k - $1M

Tarrant
True story, All Delta wanted in order to make Bham a transportation hub was land in Tarrant.
The mayor had his hand out and wanted them to buy his buddies land at an inflated price, Delta walked.
Next thing you know Atlanta landed it.
