This is a troll right? Surely someone so clearly oblivious to guns wouldn’t be spouting out such bullshite

When renting a pick up truck becomes the weapon of choice for those who want to commit mass casualties on a now monthly basis then you would quickly see regulations in place to make the renting of pick up trucks more difficult. But you won't because it will not. Why were assault weapons the weapon of choice in Aurora, Orlando, Sandy Hook, San Bernideno, Las Vegas, San Antonio etc? The answer is because that is why the gun is made. The AR-15 is designed to kill people, lots of people at one time. Stop making stupid analogies to Pick Ups Trucks or knives, or bats. There will always be people in our society that want to commit horrible acts. We should make it as difficult as possible to carry out these acts. As long as AR-15 and other similar guns continue to be cheaper and cheaper and are as easy to get as walking to your local Academy or Gun Show then these incidents will continue and in greater numbers and in frequency. But people for the most part won't care until it directly effects them or their loved ones because it didn't happen to them.

I agree

I agree again. But not by restricting the rights and freedoms of law abiding citizens.

Again, I can’t comprehend how this is not just a given.

As long as you can remove every single AR-15 that's in the hands of criminals, then you might have a point. However, if you admit you cannot, then it's pure idiocy to remove them from the law abiding citizens. Laws that enable criminals to kill with more protection against honest people protecting themselves should never, ever be considered.

But I guess since you aren't brave enough to protect your family, you favor these laws?

Isn’t murder already illegal?

You think making guns illegal will somehow stop murder?

Best case study is Mexico. Citizens can’t have guns. Cartels have plenty guns. Cartel rivals Miltary and in some cases out guns Military.

Another case study....the states with the harshest gun laws have some of the highest murder rates.

So why can’t we talk about how we can get more of these guys armed and less of the evil/incompetent ones?

Because, and I am not saying this flippantly..."I have seen the enemy, and he is us"...

I have to say that it is ridiculous when people try to use the excuse of owning an AR to “protect” themselves.

It’s a gun to build and create from nothing as a hobby. It’s a gun to add gadgets to as a hobby. It’s a toy. It’s not a weapon for an every day common citizens protection.

If someone walks into my home in a threatening manner they will be shot with either a pistol or a shotgun, not an AR.

Obama’s hometown of Chiraq never led the US in murders until they enacted harsh gun laws.

And why do you feel you're important enough to make that decision on behalf of every other person?

And why are you ignoring other circumstances, such as riots, protection of a business against masses of people, etc.?

I own an AR and 4 out of 5 of my friends do too, but to say that it’s a gun used for protection is just ridiculous.

it might not be everyone's cup of tea but the ar platform has all kinds of benefits when used for protection.

This might blow your mind, but what about this for home defense?

Edit - Nevermind, I see your other post now. Was going ti make the point that this big bad scary gun is a glorified pistol essentially

Well the greatboudini and 4 out of his 5 friends have spoken. America will surely take note. Just stay out of making that decision on behalf of every other American, please.
